If you find your worries are overwhelming, or that you feel sad or depressed more than is comfortable, I may be able to help you. With a doctorate in clinical psychology, I have both years of training and years of experience working with children, teens, and adults using evidence-based treatment. I take a compassionate, collaborative and strength-based approach.
Are you struggling with parenting?
Parenting is extremely rewarding but can also be overwhelming and exhausting, especially if your child or teen struggles with medical or neurodevelopmental diagnoses. I worked for years in special needs schools, as well as a tertiary care pediatric hospital, where I helped children who had complex medical needs and/or complicated neurodevelopmental profiles. I provide counselling and training for parents, as well as individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Everyone is welcome at my practice, and I am particularly interested in—and have a great deal of experience—working with individuals who are neurodivergent.
Having worked in the feeding clinic of a tertiary care hospital for over 10 years, I am very passionate about and skilled at working with individuals who are selective eaters (both neurotypical and neurodivergent) across the lifespan. Please note that in my private practice, I can only work with people who are medically stable, and I do not see those who have eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia.
I believe individuals are often much stronger than they give themselves credit for. People often become so focused on their challenges that they forget to notice their strengths. I will always notice and amplify your and your children’s strengths, but will also help you develop new skills and confidence to face life’s challenges.
